Change doesn't always feel like forward movement. Sometimes we're blooming. Sometimes we're putting down roots. Sometimes we're scattered somewhere we never expected to be.
The Dandelion Reflection Tool is a three-page therapeutic reflection activity that uses the life cycle of a dandelion as a gentle metaphor for exploring change, grief, transition, identity, growth, and self-acceptance.
Rather than asking clients to rush toward acceptance or “find the positive,” this resource creates space to notice where they are now, what may be changing, what grounds them, and what they may be ready to release.
Prompts invite clients to explore their current season, emotions and changes that feel outside their control, where they have “landed,” values that provide roots, self-judgment, resilience, and the possibility of beginning again.
Helpful for work around: grief and loss • major life transitions • relationship changes • identity exploration • adjustment • values • self-compassion • acceptance • resilience • starting over
Includes: 3-page printable PDF with guided reflection prompts, values exploration, somatic reflection, and a closing affirmation.
Great for individual therapy, group work, journaling, or between-session reflection.
