Religious Abuse Recovery Essentials Course

We as therapists are dealing more and more with clients who have experienced trauma caused by religious institutions and religious leaders. As religious abuse and trauma is a part of my story, I now am using what I have learned, both personally and professionally, to help others find healing. There is hope for recovery and many tools for healing!

This course is designed with religious abuse survivors in mind, but it will also help you as a therapist have a better understanding of your clients who have walked this path and give you a framework for how to help them.

-How trauma affects a person specifically when it happens in a religious setting
-What personalities are susceptible to religious abuse
-What forgiveness is and is not
-How to help your client grieve, heal and reclaim themselves
