When you're feeling misunderstood, doubting your own perception, or looking outside yourself for permission to feel what you feel, it can be difficult to access self-compassion.
The Self-Validation Reflection Card is a two-page guided therapeutic worksheet designed to help clients slow down, identify what's happening internally, and practice responding to themselves with greater curiosity and validation.
Rather than asking clients to simply “think positively,” this resource walks them through identifying the emotion and trigger, noticing self-directed thoughts, considering whether those thoughts are helping, accessing the compassion they might naturally offer someone else, reconnecting with what they know to be true about themselves, and developing a self-validation statement they can return to.
Helpful for exploring:
Self-doubt • people-pleasing • emotional validation • self-compassion • shame • interpersonal conflict • boundaries • identity and values • trusting one's own experience
Includes: 2-page printable PDF with six guided reflection prompts, supportive examples, self-validation statements, and space for clients to develop their own language.
Great for individual therapy, between-session reflection, or as a reusable grounding tool when self-doubt shows up.
