The Value-Based Spending Planner is a neurodivergent-affirming reflection tool for exploring spending without shame, rigid budgeting rules, or labeling every impulsive purchase as a mistake.

Clients begin by identifying what matters to them, then reflect on recent purchases through the lens of impulsivity, values, regret, and context. Finally, the “Someday List” creates a place to hold exciting ideas and wanted items without requiring an immediate yes—or an automatic no.

This worksheet can support conversations around ADHD, impulsive spending, dopamine seeking, collecting, executive functioning, values, financial stress, and intentional decision-making.

Rather than asking, “Was this purchase good or bad?” the planner encourages a more useful question:

Did this choice support what matters to me?

Includes: 2-page printable PDF with values identification, recent-purchase reflection, and a reusable “Someday List.”
